Born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta, Knowluck gave up a promising career as a video game operator when he was reborn after discovering the electronic music scene. Musically raised on a steady diet of Y Afterhours as well as the legendary GOMP and THC parties, Knowluck soon decided to uproot himself and moved to Calgary. It was a dance party in an industrial zone of Vancouver that was Florian’s introduction to electronica, and he immediately knew he wanted to get involved with the scene. Quickly thereafter he was getting involved in all sorts of events, from indoor shows to multi-day outdoor festivals including Shambhala, In:Vision, Diversity, and Entheos. When Florian was 16, he began investigating the alchemy of beats, basslines and melody — seeking the transformative quality they hold on a dancefloor with the potential to unify each person into the interactive whole. He’s studied the domains of dub, breaks, glitch, trance, and house in all it’s forms with great dilligence, and now uses these modules to deliver a potent blend of sonic bliss that draws each individual into the dancefloor experience. Climbing the ranks from partier, to waste management, to harm reduction, to event planning, Florian is now a budding producer, promoter, and manager of Sunset Room – Victoria’s only all hours dance venue. Secret Alias :: Unknown l Experimental Weapons
These agents of bass have been stealthily infiltrating Victoria’s dubstep underworld for awhile now. They come packing an arsenal of experimental weapons, from the space age, to the down right grotesque, that they plan to drop on the unsuspecting. Whisperings of basslines mangled out of recognition accompanied by hypnotic vox and beastly percussion precede them. It’s unknown where they originate from, and exactly how they got here, but their purpose is clear, to get F$@#ing evil on the dancefloor!

The Rainbow Cathedral is a new age spiritual group based on the precepts of Peace, Love, Unity, and Respect. Worship takes the form of Congregation Celebrations, where members dance all night and all day to deep, tribal electronic music. It is our focus to create a safe, nurturing environment conducive to letting go of attachments, judgments, and inhibitions so that people can become more in tune with their Sacred Selves and realize their Sacred Purpose on this planet. People of all religions or belief systems are welcome to our events, so long as they adhere to our simple guidelines of Peace, Love, Unity, and Respect.

Our Revivals have been happening since 2005. This will be our 5th. Revival is a celebration of life, and an invitation to renew yourself through dance, connection, meditation and sacred silliness. Come in costume, however simple or elaborate as you feel. COSTUME THEME::: YOUR SACRED SELF.

Rainbow Cathedral’s events take place inside a temple we create for the event. We work hard to create a safe, sacred container for our guest to be able to go deeply into their dance and their experience. We formulate our lineups like medicine, each artist going deeper into the journey from the next. We have taken special care to make our space safe and sacred. We welcome you to celebrate with us.

Toni adds her own experience gained from preparing fine foods for festival goers and many deranged art students, and shares great passion for creation. Dust began his DJ career in the frozen north of British Columbia in Prince George. Shortly after discovering his love of electronic music, he quickly felt the need to give back to the community through music and promotion. Dust began promoting with Vinylution Productions before becoming a resident and co-founded PGPK Productions with Scott Wright. Before long Dust became a leading DJ in Prince George and surrounding cities playing a variety of music from progressive to house and breakbeat. In the summer of 2004 Dust left the north for the sunnier shores of Victoria where he continues to DJ to enthusiastic audiences at various clubs, afterhour establishments and parties in and around the capital region.

MOUNTAIN EYES (Rainbow Cathedral) Sooke

Co-founder of the Rainbow Cathedral, Mountain Eyes is known for his deep, ethno-infused blend of progressive house, trance, and psy. Between 2005-2010 he helped create countless community-focused dance events, including the yearly Love Portal, Temple of Dance, & Revival events, and the Re-Connect series, for all of which he was a resident DJ. In 2010, he helped found the Moon Collective and co-created a year’s lineup of monthly intentional dance events as a resident for Full Moon Medicine and a frequent guest of the Lunar Intentions series. Crystal Crow (aka Crystal 721, aka Dancing Crow): Rainbow Cathedral, Victoria

Crow’s musical path has taken him from live, free-form radio to live mixing in front of live human beings. Crow was born a DJ, with a record in one hand & the record cover in the other. Steadily evolving over the years from the Beatles to ProgRock, to New Wave, and finally saved from grunge by Trance, he found a way to merge electronic music with a spiritual pathway based on drumming & chanting. He produced over 20 Spiritual Dances themed around the Brazilian Orixia, before leaving the Evil Empire for the open, democratic, free thinking country of Canada, in 2003.
Within 2 years, owing to his love of Juno Reactor, Crow had been booked as the first Label DJ for the newly formed Rainbow Cathedral. Over the Cathedral’s most active years, he played at numerous intentional trance events, consistently bringing the deep, tribal psytrance, deep trance, and sacred downtempo sounds to the dancefloor. Outside of the Cathedral, Crow produced and DJ’d at a series of dances held at The Soltice Cafe, entitled “Crow Medicine”, and has attended and played at the yearly Entheos Gathering.

Ambrosia has been a minion of the rainbow cathedral for many years now. She comes in peace. She wants to make you dance and stretch and hug random people spontaneously. Harkening from the deep, green forests of south VanIsle, Nagdeo Menninkainen brings forth the essence of sacred woodlands. Space Age, originally from Edmonton, AB grew up with a love and appreciation for all types of music and genres. Transforming this love to DJing, he developed a eclectic style fusing sexy, ethnic, and soulful sounds together combined with technical mixing. His diverse sets range from sultry bellydance and downtempo chill, to dancefloor shaking dubstep and elegant psytrance. With a little something for everyone, Space Age will always get the dancefloor moving. A pioneering member of the Techno Hippy Crew, Astral Harvest, and Vibe Tribe’s official bellydance DJ, Space Age has played at some of Edmonton and Calgary’s biggest shows including: Beats Antique, Dehli 2 Dublin, Bassnectar, Skream, Freq Nasty, Rusko, Caspa, Glitch Mob, Freestylers, Kush Aurora, Juakali and David Starfire. One half of the Smokey Bandits, 2010 saw headlining sets at Motion Notion, North Country Fair and Astral Harvest including an incredible glitch-hop beatbox freestyle set with the amazing Shamik.

DJ Jesse B of Karmetik Collective gets back to his roots with this project. His deep and delicious funky electro infused sound carries the dancer deep into the next level. With a maelstrom of funk, breaks, electro and you-name-it-step at his disposal, Jesse B is in his element, weaving together complex fabrics of sonic bass injected vibration, inspiring groove infected movement, with bouts of etheric expansion. Watered and fed by life on the rugged West Coast of British Columbia, Jesse B brings a broad spectrum of feeling and grit to festivals and dance floors alike, sure to tickle all corners of the psyche.
